Darryl J. Blase (Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance)
Mr. Blase joined the Coastal Water Authority on November 5, 1990. Mr. Blase completed a four-year Electrical Apprenticeship Program hosted by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. in conjunction with Houston Community College.
Mr. Blase is responsible for the electrical, mechanical and instrumentation departments, supervising the proactive maintenance strategies practiced throughout the CWA System. He is also instrumental in the coordination and execution of contracted maintenance and repairs.
Mr. Blase is involved in several civic organizations including Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo serving as a Captain on the Corral Club Committee, Life Member of the Fort Bend County Fair Association serving as Chairman over one of the Beverage Committees and a long-time member of the Texas Farm Bureau supporting the Voice of Texas Agriculture. Mr. Blase also enjoys membership in the International Barbeque Cookers Association, Inc. participating in competitions and charitable events.

Patrick J. Giordano (Plant and Distribution Systems)
Mr. Giordano joined the Coastal Water Authority on April 15, 1991. He attended Erie Business College in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Giordano is responsible for the operation of Lake Houston Dam and Reservoir. He is also responsible for pipeline distribution and plant operations. Mr. Giordano has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. His career includes surface water, large diameter underground piping, earth work, concrete and water treatment plant construction.
Mr. Giordano is an active member of the St. Matthews Catholic Church and is a Fourth Degree Member of Monsignor William Steele Assembly of the Knights of Columbus. He resides in Houston with his wife and two sons.

Mike Kent (Administrator: Operation, Procurement & MIS)
Mike Kent joined CWA in January 13, 1994. Mr. Kent received a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice / Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Mr. Kent is responsible for the Central Operations Center at the Lynchburg Pump Station and all administrative and logistical support.
Mr. Kent's background includes 14 years of Purchasing & Contract Administration experience in the Oil & Gas and Power Generation and Transmission & Distribution industries.

James P. Lewis (Maintenance Superintendent)
Mr. Lewis came to work for Coastal Water Authority on August 15, 2005. Mr. Lewis received his B. S. degree in Construction Management from the University of Houston.
Mr. Lewis is responsible for maintaining the CWA conveyance system (i.e., canals and pipelines) and minor construction.
Mr. Lewis has over twenty years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. Mr. Lewis' career spans project management, construction supervision and construction management. His experience includes surface water and wastewater treatment plant construction, remedial construction, underground piping, earthwork, concrete and structural steel and highway and bridge construction.
Mr. Lewis is an active member of Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church. He resides in Baytown with his wife and two daughters.

Michael R. Mason (Security)
Mr. Mason joined the Authority on January 26, 2004, and is the Security Manager and Emergency Management Coordinator. He is a 1995 graduate of Central Michigan University where he earned an M. S. Degree in Security Administration. Mr. Mason also earned undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice, Security Administration, Law Enforcement and Liberal Arts.
Mr. Mason is responsible for all facets of security within the CWA system and facilities.
Mr. Mason’s extensive security and law enforcement management experience includes his being the Director for the Navy's security program for 3 years, and his being an adjunct instructor of criminal justice for Central Texas College, Columbia College, and the University of Houston. Mr. Mason is involved in numerous professional organizations including the American Society for Industrial Security International, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners
